What do you like the most about SS?
How simple it is to use and is extremely effective.
What improvements would you suggest?
If you could get it to separate each part of a song, so that one could listen to it and save it to file would be awesome!
Comments:
One major use for me, is to break down the vocal parts! I am responsible for leading worship in our church and it has become a vital and necessary tool in my learning new songs. I love it! It is truly a blessing. I agree that is a must have tool. I not only use it for my guitar playing but it is an awesome tool for breaking down the vocals! It has cut my time learnig the melody of any song in half and then some.

Thank you very much, love the product. The first riff…
Thank you very much, love the product. The first riff I used it on was "play that funky music (whiteboy)" It always bugged me and with SS I had it in a couple seconds. Thanks again and take care

I agree that it is a phenomenal, must-have product
I did buy it three weeks ago and I agree that it is a phenomenal, must-have product. I didn’t realize how valuable it would be prior to purchasing it. I am a software developer and I am very impressed with the simplicity and user-friendliness of the interface, the elegance of the functionality in the application, and the design and accuracy of the graphical elements. Unlike others I’ve seen, it is very professional and does what you say it will do very well - and it is simple to use, with a very minimal learning curve.

Have been able to successfully get the program registered and running. Thanks again for all your support assistance in getting me through this dilemma. Have always been a bit skeptical buying products over the internet but you have turned what started out as a bad experience into a positive one. Hats off to you and your team! Off to play now with Song Surgeon.

Song Surgeon is a program that I have long awaited
I just want to let you know that Song Surgeon is a program that I have long awaited- not only for myself, but also for my guitar students. As a guitar teacher, I have often had to figure out songs that my students want to learn by listening to a CD they bring me. After trying Song Surgeon and seeing how simple it is to use, I know it will make my job a lot faster and easier. Song Surgeon will also give my students a great tool they can use to practice along with at home. Thanks for creating a software program that is sure to benefit musicians everywhere, whatever their skill level or instrument of choice might be.
Song Surgeon is immensely helpful to our fiddle group students
The song surgeon is immensely helpful to our fiddle group students. The students are able to slow down a song and work out the complex parts in a very efficient manner. I would highly recommend this for all ages.

Song Surgeon is a necessary tool for musicians
Song Surgeon is a necessary tool for musicians of all experience levels. Students and teachers alike will find everything they need to learn from the masters. The tempo adjustment feature is critical for drummers transcribing complex drum parts. Slowing down the tempo will actually speed up the learning process and allow more time behind the drumkit for practice.
I learn the music very quickly being able to hear it slow it down and practice.
I just wanted to say that I enjoy your product quite a bit. I was wondering if you were planning on making anymore volumes? I would really like to get some more with some newer content, or maybe some Metallica solos broken apart too. The program has worked great for me and is very cost effective. I learn the music very quickly being able to hear it slow it down and practice. Keep up the good work!

…the slow half speed option is very useful
I really am impressed with this set of lessons. The sound is incredible, even on my computer speakers. Also, the slow half speed option is very useful. I would actually like to order the remaining sets of leads that I should have ordered the first time. In all, a fine effort, gentlemen.

The biggest advantage…for me is the half speed feature
What a great course! As someone who has been playing for several years without ever taking a lesson, I really learned a lot from your course. I especially enjoyed the Guitar Leads Course. The biggest advantage of this play along course for me is the half speed feature. By being able to slow the pace, you actually decrease the learning time! I am looking forward to Volume 2. Thanks a 1,000,000!

…slowing down to half speed is great.
I have just started the course and I am finding it really good. The riffs and leads shown make it really easy to learn the rest of the song. Especially slowing down to half speed is great. The sales service was fantastic and left me very impressed. Especially when there was a problem with the disc production, the problem was rectified immediately. Can't wait for volume 5 and hopefully beyond.

Having the slow and regular versions ….is the real jewel of the program
I found that having the slow and regular versions of the transcriptions/ recordings to be the real jewel of the program. There is no way I would have been able to learn and play Black Magic Women if I had only the regular speed recording to work from. Even the slow version of some material is difficult but very workable. Bottom line, money very well spent.

..half speed was incredibly useful
I have tried the course, and I like it very much. Being able to slow the music to half speed is extremely helpful. I was playing some of the tunes during my first session. Again, half speed was incredibly useful, with "I Know a Little", since there's so much going on in that tune, and it's played fast. I would like to see more classic blues songs, but that's just a personal thing. Thanks for listening.

If you want to get it right, get Song Surgeon…
Fifty years ago we didn’t have things like Song Surgeon… and I can remember wearing out 45 RPM records, playing them over and over again trying squeeze out that last bit of a note on some killer riff…. If you really want to get it right, get Song Surgeon. You can play it over and over again until you get it down. Working at half speed helps you get it right, so you don’t have to waste time unlearning costly mistakes.
